You've invested in tutors, teachers, and support. But something still isn't clicking. STEP Education is a group of holistic educators on a mission to change that.
Build genuine, lasting growth in every student: academically, personally, and beyond grades. Because real success goes far deeper than the next exam.
A dedicated coordinator connecting your child's whole team, aligning everyone around shared goals, a unified plan, and clear accountability. No more silos, no mixed messages, no gaps in support.
Trained in Special Education and experienced across diverse classrooms, our team understands that every student is different — and knows how to reach the ones that standard approaches leave behind.
STEPs cover academic performance, behavioural growth, social development, and emotional wellbeing — going far beyond grades.
Parents, tutors, teachers, and support staff all operate from the same STEP, with clearly defined roles and shared goals.
Reviewed at least quarterly, STEPs adapt as your child grows, celebrating milestones and adjusting when needed.

Every STEP follows a deliberate process — designed to build trust, gather real insight, and produce a plan that actually works.
We begin with a focused conversation with you — no child present yet. This is your space to share your observations, frustrations, hopes, and goals for your child. We listen deeply before we plan anything.
Over four weekly sessions, we work directly with your child — building rapport and understanding their world from their perspective. We learn what excites them, what frustrates them, and what they actually want from their education.
Drawing on everything gathered from parents and the student, we produce the first draft of the STEP — a personalised, structured plan covering academic goals, personal development visions, and proposed actions for every stakeholder.
We bring everyone together — parents and any relevant stakeholders such as school teachers, other tutors, or support staff — to review the draft, refine the goals, and agree on roles. Everyone leaves knowing exactly what they're responsible for.
The STEP is put into action. Every quarter, we reconvene to reflect on progress, celebrate milestones, and adjust the plan as your child grows. The STEP is never static — it evolves with your child.
Personality, hobbies, interests, learning style, and what truly drives your child. The foundation everything else is built on.
Specific, measurable targets from grades to study habits, with clear action plans and responsibilities for the whole team.
Short, medium, and long-term aspirations covering social, emotional, and behavioural growth beyond the classroom.
Everyone — parents, tutors, teachers, support staff — knows exactly what they're responsible for and how they contribute.
Any modifications needed to the learning environment, instruction style, or approach, tailored to your child's needs.
A living record of wins achieved and honest quarterly reviews of what's working, what isn't, and how to adjust.
I'm Kevin — an education coordinator, special educator, and youth mentor based in Hong Kong. I grew up in the international school system here and in Beijing, so the world your child navigates — the pressures, the expectations, and the culture — is one I know from the inside.
After Columbia University, I joined Teach For America and spent three years teaching in New York City's public schools, one of the most eye-opening experiences of my career. Working across incredibly diverse classrooms taught me that every student learns differently — whether navigating learning differences, finding mainstream schooling unstimulating, or simply needing a different approach to unlock their potential. It deepened my belief that truly effective education support has to be tailored, holistic, and built around the individual — not applied from a template.
What I brought back to Hong Kong is a conviction that the students who thrive are those with a strong, aligned team behind them — parents who are engaged, educators who communicate, and a clear shared plan that everyone is working from. When those pieces come together, the results speak for themselves: greater confidence, stronger academic performance, and a student who genuinely believes in their own ability.
Every family's goals and circumstances are unique. There's no single playbook — and that's exactly why STEP exists. Whatever your child's situation, we'll work together to build the right plan and give them the best possible foundation for wherever they're headed next.
Often the barrier isn't academic at all. It's understanding what actually drives your child as an individual, and building support around that. That's where every STEP begins.
Start the ConversationEvery STEP begins with a discovery meeting — a relaxed conversation with you to understand your needs, your goals, and how we can best support your child.
